Microsoft Edge is finally getting the History and Open tabs sync feature with Chromium Edge version 88. As the feature is currently rolling out to a limited set of Edge Insiders in the Canary channel, you can now see the options to enable the sync if you are one of the lucky users.

 

The feature is currently rolling out for Windows, and Mac users. Upgrade to Edge Canary build 88.0.682.0 or higher to check if it has been enabled for you.

Microsoft released a new update for the Windows 10 users that is going to remove the Adobe Flash Player from Windows. Microsoft made it "optional" at this moment. That means it won't be offered to you via the Windows Update Service until next year.

Microsoft has taken a new move to phase out Internet Explorer for its new Chromium-powered Microsoft Edge browser. The company has identified a list of 1,156 websites including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Hotstar, Yahoo Mail, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, and many others, that will redirect users from IE to Microsoft Edge.

 

Starting next month, the redirect will take place to the users who are having Microsoft Edge Stable version 87 or higher installed on their system.

Microsoft is experimenting with a new feature called "Startup Boost" that will start a set of Microsoft Edge processes in the background to have a faster experience to launch the chromium-powered Edge browser on Windows 10 from desktop, taskbar icon, and links within other apps.

 

Though the Redmond giant didn't give any commitment by when the feature will arrive in the stable build, you can experiment with the feature right now if you are running Edge Insiders build.

Microsoft announced that the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser is now available for Linux users. The company said that they will provide weekly updates in sync with the Dev Channel on other platforms, and as this is still in the early preview state, you may experience bugs or unexpected behaviors.

Microsoft is working on a new feature for Microsoft Teams that will intelligently remove the unwanted background noise in real-time. The feature is said to be using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm to filter out all unwanted noises during the Microsoft Teams call.
