Google has announced the release of a new feature for its Google Authenticator app for Android and iOS. The feature allows users to safely back up their one-time access codes, also known as one-time passwords (OTPs), to their Google accounts, ensuring enhanced account security across devices.

 

Prior to this integration, all codes stored in the Google Authenticator app were saved on the device, making it problematic if the device was lost or stolen.
