Do you want to try and boost the performance of your Windows PC? Then you've come to the right place. Here you can find out how to boost your PC while also finding out if it is possible for you to overclock your system.

Performance Troubleshooter

The first thing that you need to do is try out the performance troubleshooter. This is great because it can help you to both find and fix problems. The way that this tool works is that it pinpoints anything that might be slowing down your computer. It can tell you how many users are logged on, which programs are being used and more.

If you want to open this tool, then you just need to click on the Start button. When you have done this, type in "troubleshooter" and then click under System and Security, then click on "check for performance issues".

Delete Programs that are Not in Use

A lot of PC manufacturers will package new PCs with stuff that you didn't order, or just don't need. This may include a trial edition, where you need to pay to upgrade.

If you know that you aren't going to need anything like this then it would be a good idea for you to remove it from your system. This will stop your PC from running as slow and you may even find that you are able to free up precious memory as a result.

You may find that a lot of the programs you don't need are games, and you won't need any of these if you play games on the Casino NetBet India site for example.

Limit your Start-up Programs

A lot of programs are designed to boot up automatically whenever you turn on Windows. Software manufacturers often set these to open in the background where they can't be seen.

If you want to stop this from happening, then you need to try and go into your control panel so that you can untick anything that you don't need. You need to be careful here though because if you do untick something by accident then your PC might not start up properly, so keep this in mind.

Defragment

Fragmentation will make your hard disk do a lot of extra work and this can really slow down your computer overall. You can use the Disk Defragmenter to arrange your data so that your entire system can then work much more efficiently. It will run on a schedule and this means that you can take care of whatever you need, when you need.

Clean your Disk It's vital that you take care of any files you don't need on your hard disk. This will slow down your computer and you may even find that it impacts your system overall. The great thing about clean-ups like this is that you can remove temporary files and you can also empty your recycling bin too. These are all little things that you might not think of doing yourself.
