Microsoft started rolling out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25281 to the Dev Channel. The most recent preview build improves Windows Spotlight, adds a visual update to the graphics settings page, and adds Tabs to Notepad. Aside from these, the new build includes a few other enhancements and fixes.

  • The Window Insiders, who are on the Dev Channel, can now upgrade their system to the latest build.
  • The latest Windows 11 Build 25281 improves the Windows Spotlight experience.
  • It adds a visual update to the graphics settings page.
  • The new build also adds Tabs in Notepad.

 

With this release, Microsoft starts experimenting with various aesthetic changes to Windows Spotlight. The standard Windows Spotlight functions, including as hovering over desktop icons, right-clicking on them, and double-clicking on them, will continue to be shared by all treatments. The improvements to Spotlight will include a richer user interface for showing the title and description of an image and learning more details about it using Spotlight.

 

Microsoft is also experimenting with full-screen, reduced, and full-screen experiences as well as previews to transition between different images. Insiders in the Dev Channel will experience various treatments on various PCs, so not everyone will see the same thing. Additionally, only English-language treatments will be displayed.

To enable Windows Spotlight on your PC right now, right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize," then select the new Spotlight theme. You can also enable Windows Spotlight directly by going to Settings > Personalization > Background and selecting the option from the "Personalize your background" dropdown.
