As it is the second Tuesday of the month, it's time for patching all supported versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Being the seventh patch of the year, Microsoft now started rolling out the Windows 10 July 2022 Patch Tuesday (KB5015807) update for versions 21H1, and 21H2, and Windows 11 July 2022 Patch Tuesday (KB5015814) update for version 21H2.

What's new and improved in Windows 10 KB5015807 update

Addresses an issue that redirects the PowerShell command output so that transcript logs do not contain any content. Transcript logs might contain decrypted passwords if you turn PowerShell logging on. Consequently, the transcript logs lose the decrypted passwords.

 

Apart from this, the Windows 10 KB5011487 update also addresses the following issues:

  • Addresses an issue that prevents the Pashto language from appearing in the language list.
  • Addresses an issue that affects the touchpad area that responds to a right-click (the right-click zone).
  • Addresses a known issue that might prevent you from using the Wi-Fi hotspot feature.
  • Addresses a known issue that might prevent the Snip & Sketch app from capturing a screenshot or from opening using the keyboard shortcut (WIN + Shift + S).

 

REMINDER: Windows 10, version 2004 reached the end of servicing on December 14, 2021. To continue receiving security and quality updates, Microsoft recommends that you update to the latest version of Windows 10.
