Windows 11 - the latest version of Microsoft's operating system is being updated with a ton of new features and improvements. As announced on Tuesday at the "Hybrid Work" event, the company is set to add a tabbed design to File Explorer. If you are a Windows Insider, you might have already known about this feature coming next.

 

According to the announcement, the other features include Windows 365 based cloud PC enhancements, folders in Start, touch support for Snap Layout, better focus, captioning, and some other Microsoft Teams features for Windows 11.

What's new coming to Windows 11

Microsoft has revealed that Windows 11 will get Tabbed support in File Explorer. Though the company didn't mention the release, we can assume that it will be the upcoming update which is known as Windows 11 version 22H2 update.

 

The next version of the operating system will have app folders support in the Start menu. You will be able to group multiple apps under a single folder and set a name to it for quick access.

 

 

The operating system will get an improved accessibility feature that includes Focus Sessions for users with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Voice Access for dictation, and system-wide Live Captions for users having hearing disabilities.

 

Those who are using Windows 11 operating system on tablets, Windows convertible laptops, or touch-based Windows 11 devices, can use touch gestures to use the Snap Layout feature.

 

 

Microsoft is also updating Windows 11 with new features for enterprise customers. This includes Windows Autopatch for automated Windows 11, Microsoft Edge, and Office updates.

 

In the end, Microsoft is also trying to make it easier for you to take online meetings in hybrid working environments. The OS will be able to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) on capable hardware for Voice Clarity, Automatic Framing, Portrait Background Blur, and Eye Contact to make meetings more personal and interactive.
