Xiaomi launches Xiaomi 12 series smartphones in China. Under this series three phones have come into the market - Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X. The first two 12-series smartphones have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, whereas the third smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 60 processor.

 

The price for the Xiaomi 12 starts at 3,899 yuan (about Rs. 43,400). On the other hand, the Xiaomi 12 Pro phone price starts at 4,699 yuan (about Rs. 55,100), and Xiaomi 12 X phone price starts at 3,999 yuan (about Rs. 36,500).

Xiaomi 12 Specifications

 

The base model of the Xiaomi 12 series has a 6.26" Full HD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This phone offers HDR 10+ certification and Dolby Vision content. The front of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

 

This phone has a triple camera setup for photography. The setup includes a 50 MP Sony IMX 766 primary camera sensor with 1 / 1.26" OIS, 13 MP 123 degree field of view with ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a tele macro lens. For selfie video calling, this phone has a 32 MP front camera.

 

Xiaomi 12 phones use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and this phone comes in the market with a maximum of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Xiaomi 12 runs on Android 12 based MIUI 13 custom skin. For power backup, the phone has a 4,500 mAh battery with 8W fast charging support, 50W wireless charging support, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

 

Also, Xiaomi 12 phones have dual speakers with Harmon Cardon audio and Dolby Atoms support, 1100 net brightness, 5G network, WiFi 8, NFC. The phone is available in Blue, Gray, Black, and Green.

 

 

Xiaomi 12 Pro Specifications

 

The Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship phone has a 6.73" 2K Plus (2K +) E5 AMOLED punch-hole display with a resolution of 3,200 × 1,440 pixels and a brightness of 1,500 nits. This phone has an LTPO display panel which allows the display to dynamically switch between 1 Hz to 120 Hz. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision Certified.

 

Xiaomi 12 Pro uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. The phone comes with a maximum of 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. This phone runs on Android 12 based MIUI 13 custom skin.

 

This phone has a triple camera setup for photography. The setup includes a 50 MP Sony IMX606 primary camera sensor with 1 / 1.26" OIS, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone has a 32 MP front camera with a punch-hole cut-out on the front for selfie video calling. For power backup, the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 4,800 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, 50W wireless charging support, and 10W reverse wireless charging. This phone measures 7.18 mm and weighs 205 grams.

 

Also, the Xiaomi 12 has an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, dual front-firing speakers with Harmon Cordon, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a display rating on the Plus Mate.

The most affordable of the three, the Xiaomi 12X smartphone has a 6.26" Full HD + AMOLED screen. This phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 80 5G processor. Xiaomi 12X has entered the market with a maximum of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. For power backup, the phone comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with 8W fast charging support.

 

The Xiaomi 12X has a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS; a lens on the back panel, a 13 MP ultraviolet camera, and a triple camera setup with a 5 MP tele-macro camera. For selfies, the phone will have a 20 MP front camera. The processor of the Xiaomi 12X phone, except for the wireless charging capability, has the same specifications as the base model Xiaomi 12.
