Microsoft begins rolling out a new app update for MS Paint on Windows 11. This update brings new design changes to the "Edit Color", "Resize and Skew" dialogs and is currently rolling out to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.

The latest update to the MS Paint app on Windows 11 adds a modern UI look to the dialog boxes. We have updated the “Edit Color”, “Resize and Skew”, and other dialogs to match the style of the new Windows 11 design and fit in with the new Paint app backdrop, says Microsoft in the official announcement.

 

As you could see the below two images, the "Edit Color" and "Resize and Skew" dialogs now matches the modern UI of Windows 11:

In addition, Microsoft adds few additional fixes to the Paint app on Windows 11 that includes:

  • Shift-click on a color swatch will now select that color as your secondary color.
  • Fixed an issue where text boxes would move unexpectedly when using IME.
  • Fixed an issue where some dialogs were not properly localized in Hebrew, Dutch, Norwegian, and other languages.
  • Improved support for screen readers.
