Microsoft Teams is going to receive a new update this month that will enable users to un-mirror their video feeds in a call or Teams meeting. The new "Mirror my Video" feature will provide the user the option to flip the video and have the same view as the other users in the meeting.

By default, Microsoft Teams horizontally flips the camera feed for a presenter, but it remains un-mirrored for other participants. Now, by un-mirroring, it will enable the user to see the text in a video call correctly.

Microsoft Teams to get a new 'Mirror my Video' feature

Mirror my video feature provides the user the option to un-mirror their video and thereby have the same view as the other users(s) in the meeting. By un-mirroring their video, the user will see the text correctly. No more flipped text in backgrounds or while holding a small whiteboard while teaching primary school kids. This feature is helpful in gallery, large gallery, ppt-content only sharing, and ppt-live scenarios, Microsoft describes the feature in the Microsoft 365 portal.
