Windows 11 has been already released, and you might have already received the update if you are running a supported Windows 10 device. If you didn't receive the update, even after your system meets the minimum hardware requirements, hold your breath and you will soon get it.

On the other side, Windows 11 Insiders are continuously getting new builds from Microsoft. Some builds include new features whereas the other builds include improvements and bug fixes. The new Windows 11 build 22489 comes with a new account settings page and other improvements.

What’s new in Windows 11 Build 22489

Windows 11 Build 22489 adds a new entry point for “Your Microsoft account”. This comes as a new settings page and can be accessed via Settings > Account.

Once you click this, a new settings page will open with all the related information regarding your Microsoft account connected to the system. This includes your subscriptions for Microsoft 365, links to order history, payment details, and Microsoft Rewards.

If you don't see this page right now, wait for a few days as Microsoft is gradually rolling out this change. We are beginning this rollout to a very small set of Insiders at first and then will ramp it up over time, says Microsoft.

Apart from this new feature, Microsoft added support for Discovery of Designated Resolvers which allows Windows to discover encrypted DNS configuration from a DNS resolver known only by its IP address.

After upgrading your system to Windows 11 Build 22489, you will see that the name of Connect app has changed to "Wireless Display".

Microsoft is also splitting up “Apps & Features” in Settings into two pages under Apps, “Installed Apps”, and “Advanced app settings”.
