Last year, Microsoft confirmed that a new standalone version of Microsoft Office for both Windows and Mac will be released for the consumers in the second half of 2021. Earlier this year, the company added more information to it and announced Office 2021 LTSC for Windows and macOS.

And now the company cleared all the fogs and announced that Microsoft Office 2021 will be released on along with Windows 11. As that will come with a perpetual license, you won't need to pay any subscription charges other than a one-time purchase fee.

You already know that Office 365 comes with a subscription charge. That means, as long as you are paying the monthly/annual subscription charges, you will get the new features, improvements, and fixes to all the products that come with Office 365.

During Ignite 2020, though Microsoft confirmed the release of one more perpetual release of Microsoft Office products, the official names, pricing, and availability of the standalone version were not yet confirmed by the company at that time.

Later in February 2021, Microsoft announced the next standalone version of Office Suite and named it Microsoft Office 2021.

If you don't have the Microsoft 365 Subscription, and waiting for the next major standalone version of the Microsoft Office Suite, the wait is now over! Microsoft announced that the Office Suite 2021 will be released on along with the Windows 11 release.

At this moment, Microsoft remained silent on further details about this product. Hence, the price of the Office 2021 license is still unknown. Later the company added more details to follow.

As the next major release of Microsoft Office Suite is around the corner, are you planning to purchase it?
