Microsoft Teams is getting another new feature in June 2021, which will be known as "Chat Bubbles". According to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap (Feature ID: 65948), chats sent during a Teams meeting will surface on the screens of all meeting participants, making the chat more central to the conversation.

Microsoft said that the feature will be on by default, but if you find it distracting, can turn it off from the meetings menu by following the simple mentioned steps as below.

As of now, the Microsoft Teams users needed to manually open a chat window to view the chat screen. Now, with the new "Chat Bubbles" feature, chats sent during a Teams meeting will surface on the screens of all meeting participants. This will make the chat more central to the conversation by allowing the meeting participants to follow the chat on the main screen of a meeting.
