Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3030.0 comes with reliability improvements

For the last couple of months, Microsoft is testing a new way of adding new features to Windows 10. This is called Windows Experience Feature Packs. These updates are being used to deliver new feature improvements to Windows 10 customers without releasing the bi-annual major feature updates. Currently, only a limited set of features are being developed which are independent of the OS releases.

In December 2020, Microsoft released Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.1070.0 to the Windows Insiders in the Beta channel which added two improvements to users running Windows 10 version 20H2 build 19042.662 or higher.

In January 2021, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0 was released to the Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel. This build added reliability improvements to the screen snipping experience of Windows 10. Microsoft said that the improvement was especially for apps that access the clipboard often.

Now, with the Windows Feature Experience Pack version 120.2212.3030.0, Microsoft is improving the reliability of the handwriting input panel. Other than this, there's actually nothing worth saying about this build. Insiders in the Beta Channel can go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates to receive this Windows Feature Experience Pack update. Insiders will need to reboot to enable the above-mentioned improvement. To check the installed version of the Windows Feature Experience Pack, navigate to Settings > System > About.

As a reminder – we are testing this new process out with Insiders to deliver new feature improvements to customers outside of major Windows 10 feature updates. Right now, we are starting out with a really scoped set of features and improvements. Over time, we hope to expand the scope and the frequency of releases in the future, Microsoft said in the blog announcement.
