Microsoft Teams will soon let you send Messages, even when you are offline

Microsoft is working on a new feature for Microsoft Teams, that will allow you to queue sent messages when you are offline. This will help you to reply to messages when you have poor connectivity. The queued message will be delivered to recipients when you appear online.

The company said that the queued message will be sent once there is a network connection. But, if Microsoft Teams fails to send the message within 24 hours due to no internet connectivity, the user will be prompted to resend the message or delete it.

Microsoft Teams: Queue sent messages when offline

When attempting to send messages while offline, Teams will queue messages and send once a network connection is re-established. If the message is in an unsent state for more than 24 hours, the message will fail and the user will be prompted to resend or delete the message.
