Microsoft released the Windows 10 October 2020 Update (version 20H2, build 19042) on October 20th to selected users who manually seek for updates. Microsoft is also offering users to download the ISOs of the Windows 10 October 2020 Update for clean installations.

 

Windows 10 version 20H2 ISOs are being offered in both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) formats. If you are looking for the ISO image for offline installation, here's a quick trick by which you can download it directly from the Microsoft site for free.

 

Download Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2) ISO images

 

To download the Windows 10 October 2020 Update offline installer (ISO image) for free, follow the steps as mentioned below:

  1. Open your browser window and navigate to the 'Windows 10 download' page.
  2. Press F12 to open the developer tools.
  3. As shown in the following screenshot, select any mobile device (other than Windows):
  4. Open the developer tools and select any mobile device
  5. The page will auto-refresh. If not, manually refresh the page without closing the Developer Tools.
  6. This will change the page content with the process to download the ISO image.
  7. As shown in the following screenshot, select the Windows 10 edition (in our case, it is Windows 10 October 2020 Update) that you would like to download.
  8. Click the Confirm button.
  9. Select the Windows 10 edition
  10. This will partially refresh the page and ask you to select the product language (in our case, English).
  11. From the dropdown, select the language.
  12. Click the Confirm button.
  13. Select the product language of the Windows 10 edition
  14. The page will partially refresh again and list down the links to download the Windows 10 offline installer.
  15. Both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows will be listed on the page.
  16. Click on the button that you would like to download.
  17. The download process will start momentarily. Based on your internet bandwidth, it will take a few minutes to a few hours to complete the download.
  18. Download the Windows 10 32-bit and 64-bit ISO image

 

Download Session
Microsoft offers you a download session of 24 hrs. That means, once you generate the link, it will be available for only 24 hrs. and within that time you have to download it.

Once your Windows 10 ISO gets downloaded, you can either mount it as a virtual DVD or burn it to a bootable DVD/USB device. Then you can launch the installer directly to begin the clean installation of Windows 10 October 2020 Update.
