Your Phone app with Android screen mirroring feature is now available as beta on Windows 10

Microsoft released a new update to Windows 10 insiders that will allow them to mirror their Android mobile screen on Windows 10 using the 'Your Phone' app, which was first released with Windows 10 October 2018 update. This new feature is still in the early preview release.

 

While most of the people are eagerly waiting for the April 2019 update, at that moment a new feature on the same branch gave a significate excitements.

 

Your Phone app on Windows 10 soon to support Android phone's screen mirroring

 

With the release of Windows 10 Insiders Preview build 18356, Microsoft announced that the latest preview build (version 1.0.20701.0 or higher) of 'Your Phone' app will now allow you to mirror your Android mobile on the desktop. To experience this feature, you need to have Windows 10 build 18335 or higher from the 19H1 branch.

 

This feature is gradually rolling out to insiders in the 19H1 fast ring, but for this to work there exists some limitations at this moment. Microsoft mentioned that the app-mirroring feature will work only on selected Android phones running Android 7.0 (Nougat) or higher and you also need a Windows 10 PC (currently limited to "Surface Go" devices only) with a Bluetooth radio that supports low energy peripheral role.

 

The selected Android mobiles include: Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus devices only.
