Visual Studio "15" is an early preview build of the next major release of Visual Studio, which has been released by Microsoft on 30th March 2016, during //BUILD/2016 developer conference at San Fransisco. It provides early adopters to try out the new features and provide continuous feedback.

The next version of Visual Studio (vNext.15) is available for preview (www.kunal-chowdhury.com)

 

On 30th March, Microsoft released the first preview bits of the Visual Studio vNext (named as Visual Studio "15"). This preview is still under development and is not ready to install in production ready environment. The Visual Studio "15" Preview Language Packs are also available, which enables the display of the UI in different languages. After you install the Language Pack, you can switch among the languages. Visual Studio Enterprise “15” Preview must be installed before you can install the Language Pack.

Along with this, Microsoft also announced the availability of the new installer for Visual Studio "15". It offers a new way to experience Visual Studio. With a minimum install, you get basic code editing support for over 20 languages along with debugging and source code control. You can also optionally add support for .NET desktop apps, C++, Unity or Python as you desire. This version of Visual Studio installs and updates quickly, and uninstalls cleanly.
