1st October is the most prestigious day for me. Today Microsoft re-awarded me the MVP (Most Valuable Professional) award for the 3rd time in a row and I am still a Silverlight MVP since October 2010.

My sincere thanks to all the community friends, MVP Lead for their continuous support. Hope to serve the developer community with more contents in coming year.

The MVP Award recognizes exceptional technical community leaders from around the world who voluntarily share their deep, real-world knowledge about Microsoft technologies with others. Potential MVPs are nominated by other technical community members, current and former MVPs, and Microsoft personnel who have noted their leadership and their willingness and ability to help others make the most of their Microsoft technology.

I am proud to be part of this community by sharing my technical knowledge and helping developer community through my blog and various online forums. I mainly blog on Silverlight, Windows Phone, Windows Store applications and also share other topics like Visual Studio, .NET. I will continue my work in the coming year and will try to serve the community in better way.

Today was the renewal date of my MVP award and received the mail notification about this award this evening. I am once again Microsoft Silverlight MVP for the year 2012 – 2013. Here comes the mail that I received from Microsoft this evening stating my MVP Renewal:

Dear Kunal Chowdhury,

Congratulations! We are pleased to present you with the 2012 Microsoft® MVP Award! This award is given to exceptional technical community leaders who actively share their high quality, real world expertise with others. We appreciate your outstanding contributions in Silverlight technical communities during the past year.

The Microsoft MVP Award provides us the unique opportunity to celebrate and honor your significant contributions and say "Thank you for your technical leadership."

This year I blogged a lot on Windows Phone which includes a step-by-step tutorial for beginners. I also published a lot of Windows Phone applications in the Windows Phone Store, which you can find here. Don’t forget to download and use those applications in your Windows Phone and rate it in the Windows Phone Store (Marketplace).

If you want to know more about the program, read it from the Microsoft MVP site. If you know someone who is an outstanding community leader or an exceptional contributor toward Microsoft Technology, Apply Here to submit your entry. It will go thru an evaluation process and at the end the new candidate will be awarded based on his technical knowledge and contribution towards the community.

Feeling like a charm to become a Microsoft MVP for the third consecutive year and yes feeling very proud to stay as the 2nd Silverlight MVP from India, just after Vikram Pendse. Thanks to Tanmay Kapoor (South Asia MVP Lead, Microsoft), all my community friends without their support this journey would be quite difficult to achieve.

Finally my warm congratulation to all new MVPs, welcome on-board. Also my congratulation to all renewed MVPs of this quarter. I hope, Microsoft will listen our words and arrange the MVP Open Day this year. Till then, stay connected with me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and RSS Feed.
